L’approche communicative ou l’apologie
d’un désordre nécessaire

Abstract: The communicative approach to language teaching has been adopted in most educational institutions. However, one worries about the confusion resulting from its implementation for it does not allow the setting of a clear cut border between the different competences involved in the use of language. The study of this approach leads me to note the existence of a “disorder” which has three dimensions: Disorder inherent to the nature of the communicative approach, mental disorder experienced by learners and disorder which is dependent on external deficiencies related to its implementation.
